Head Start Teacher – BECEP (2024-2025 School Year)

Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for a Head Start Teacher at BECEP (Bismarck Early Childhood Education Program) for the 2024-2025 School Year.

Qualifications

• This position requires that the applicant have a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education & be  licensed (or in the process of becoming licensed) through ESPB with a valid ND Teaching Certificate
• Applicants must also meet the Head Start requirement for a current physical examination and TB screening. Documentation will be required upon hire.

This position provides comprehensive program services to children ages three to five and their families, to include providing a successful, safe and supervised educational environment for children; to promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development; encourage parent engagement in all aspects of the program; jointly develop individual goals for children with parents and family advocates; provide on-going assessment on progress; facilitate transition into kindergarten; and collaborate with community partners to provide services as needed.

Preference will be given to those who have experience working with preschool-aged children, as well as experience working in a Head Start program.
