The Facilities Asset Specialist uses facilities management software to track detailed building and equipment information to aid in the management of repairs and maintenance, and keep assets in optimal working condition, by sourcing parts and materials, streamlining work orders and the scheduling maintenance, improving the work request process, and maximizing the useful life of assets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Asset management planning: Creating and maintaining asset management plans, including tracking assets, performance tracking, and reporting.
- Quality control: Performing regular quality control inspections on all facilities assets and inventory.
- Asset management: Overseeing the maintenance, and renovation of assets, including HVAC systems, lighting, elevators, vehicles, Plumbing, and structural assets within the maintenance software.
- Manage preventive maintenance contracts; to include monitoring and coordinating preventative maintenance schedules for the HVAC, elevator, alarms, and other facility equipment or installed systems, pest control etc.
- Perform facility inspections and prepare and submit reports of building condition and recommend actions to be taken.
- Implementation of inventory process for fixed assets in compliance with the approved budget (including preparing purchase orders and reconciling related monthly invoices for approval and payment).
- Follow safety precautions and work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise.
- Maintains assigned uniforms, equipment, tools, and shop area in an operable, safe, and attractive status.
- Accounts for supplies, materials, and equipment as required.
- Completes records and reports as required in a timely manner.
- Maintains cleanliness and ensures facilities areas and mechanical rooms are secured throughout campus .
- Exhibit Customer service standards and procedures
- Comply with the SFIS Code of Conduct.

QUALICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years experience in a related technology field. Technically inclined to use Google sheets, Specialty Software, and Maintain databases.
