Native American Community Academy (NACA) in Albuquerque has an opening for a Gifted Teacher
Grades 6-12 immediately. This position is for an educator who can demonstrate the ability to plan and
implement a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of
students and complies with NM Common Core Standards, Federal and State Special Education Laws, NM
Gifted Education Manual and the goals and objectives as indicated on the individual student IEP plans. The
most qualified applicants will have five or more years of experience in special education, have dual licensure
(Regular Ed and Special Ed licensed) and Gifted endorsement or willingness to take the required courses to
obtain Gifted endorsement. Qualified applicants will be familiar with Federal and State Special Education
Laws, NM Gifted Education Manual.
