Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for a School Psychologist. This position will begin in the fall of the 2021-22 school year.
Applicants must have specialist degree in psychology. Position will require extensive knowledge, skill, and experience in developing and implementing positive behavior support plans for students. Experience with multi-tiered systems of support in schools preferred. Must have strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with diverse groups of people; ability to analyze, interpret, and graph data; strong background in student assessment and curriculum-based measures.

The job of School Psychologist is done for the purpose/s of improving academic achievement; promoting positive behavior and mental health; creating safe, positive school environments; strengthening family/school partnerships; improving school-wide assessment and accountability; supporting diverse learners; measuring and interpreting the intellectual, adaptive, academic, social and emotional development of children; interpreting results of psychological studies; interpreting and applying state and federal codes; and developing strategies and interventions to address the special education needs of eligible students.
This job reports to Director of Special Education.
Experience: Job related experience within a specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility required.
Education: Master’s degree in job-related area.
Licenses: Valid license in school psychology
Clearances: Criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance.
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Salary Placement: PM on the Professional Support Staff Salary Schedule
